What is special about Galveston?
Galveston is a charming island city on the Texas Gulf Coast. It is known for Moody Gardens- a tropical paradise on 242 acres with its distinctive glass pyramids that house sharks, monkeys and other animals. Amusement rides and a variety of highly-rated restaurants line the Historic Pleasure Pier on the South shore.
On the West end is bird-rich Galveston Island State Park, with its numerous trails, kayak launches and fishing spots. On the Eastern end lies Stewart Beach and East Beach.
